Together with Reggio Children
Clorofilla was founded together with Reggio Children, an organization which is based on the ‘Reggio Emilia Approach’, recognised as one of the best pedagogical methods in the world.
The ‘Reggio Emilia Approach’ was created more than sixty years ago in the Reggio Emilia’s nursery schools and preschools and is based on active listening between child, educator and parent.
The Reggio Emilia Approach was created by Loris Malaguzzi, a tireless promoter of an innovative educational philosophy, which is expressed in his ’Childrens’ hundred languages’.
‘Childrens’ hundred languages’ is, in fact, a metaphor for unlocking every child’s potential. The teacher’s task is to understand and encourage them by involving them in meaningful and material-rich experiences.
Aiming for high-quality service, Clorofilla has, from the beginning, worked together with Reggio Children, an organisation that works to promote and spread quality education throughout the world. Specifically, Reggio Children works directly with Clorofilla on creating its educational projects, defining the school areas, organizing materials in these areas, and selecting and training its personnel.

Children are what matter most
Clorofilla nursery school cares about having children at the heart of the relationships established here. children have every possibility to develop by playing and learning in welcoming environments, to explore, and to learn different ‘languages’. childhood is an important stage of life, in which children have great potential as they can develop and express their personality and learn many new skills.

The adult’s role
The reggio emilia approach is also referred to as the ‘comprehension and relationship pedagogy’, because we believe it is fundamental to work alongside children. our teachers are able to listen to them, and observe and value their talents, offering them experiences where children express their ideas and thoughts about the world around them.

Teacher training
In order to create a nursery and preschool with teachers who understand the needs of both children and adults alike, we invest time in teacher training.
Clorofilla’s teachers are not only selected based on their qualifications (a university degree is mandatory for all those who want to work in early childhood education), but also based on their cultural and artistic interests.
We hire dynamic individuals with many qualifications and interests.
clorofilla’s personnel is trained by reggio children through ad hoc courses.

Family participation
Not only can parents talk to teachers about their child when they drop off and pick up their children from school, but also, they can request online or in-person meetings to discuss their child’s progress. In addition to these daily exchanges, teachers and parents can schedule individual meetings, and they can discuss the children’s progress at school meetings.
