Bilingualism
Clorofilla Nursery School is a bilingual school, which consists in an educational team made up of native English speakers and bilingual teachers who give the children the opportunity to experience an international and multicultural context.
Giovanna Gulli
Founder and Director
With a degree in history and professional experience in the field of research, Giovanna Gulli founded Nido Scuola Clorofilla with the aim of creating a school in Milan, which is based on the Reggio Children method; an open, inclusive school, which seeks to bring out every child’s potential.
She loves sailing, skiing, and mountaineering. As a mother of three boys, Giovanna passionately devotes herself to Clorofilla, hoping it will be a welcoming school to those living in the community.
Emanuela Torri
Pedagogical Coordinator
Our coordinator Is Emanuela Torri, who has a lot of experience working in nursery schools and kindergartens in Milan.
‘I like art and going to exhibitions and museums. I love cats and going around Milan by bicycle. I prefer questions to answers because the former allow us to be curious, because when we ask questions, we can go and research the answers. I like how questions make us question the world around us. Finally, what cannot be said in a few words cannot be said in many, Bruno Munari used to say’.
Teachers
The Clorofilla nursery school teachers, who may be Italian, English-speaking or bilingual, are qualified professionals, selected based on their qualifications – a university degree is compulsory for all those who want to work in nursery schools and preschools – but also their cultural and artistic interests that they nurture outside of work. At Clorofilla we welcome passionate, motivated teachers, who are eager to get involved and work together with children. The teachers are trained in the Reggio Children method and continue their training throughout the year, including visits to Reggio Emilia.

Elena e Morena
Administration and Front Office
Elena Pavone and Morena Bruno work in school management.
Elena works as an administrator. Thanks to a degree in education, she enjoys working in a school such as Clorofilla, because teaching is one of her passions. “Becoming a mother twice made all of my dreams come true, giving me the opportunity to have a family of my own.” Morena manages the secretarial aspect of the job. She is naturally organized and is passionate about calligraphy and making handmade crafts. Creative since childhood, she cultivates her passion for cooking and watercolors at home. She has recently become a mother to Giulio, with whom she has rediscovered her passion for reading children’s books and spending her first ‘slow, unplanned days’ as a new mother.
